Uncommon Courage
Welcome to Uncommon Courage, the podcast, where we’ll be having the conversations we need to be having as members of the human collective. We are all being called upon to step up and lead – with kindness, big hearts and unshakable courage – because right now, we have an opportunity to redress what we got wrong in the past, as well as deal with the disruptions we face today, to create a better world for all.
However, if we are completely truthful, the biggest challenge we face is believing we can do it – believing in our ability to create massive change. But everyone knows you can’t achieve anything significant without guts, determination, and of course, the courage to keep driving towards the goal, regardless of how hard the journey is!
Uncommon Courage will feature global conversations determined to contribute to creating a better future for all life on earth. Ideas, solutions, arguments and laughs - it’ll all be part of the journey. It is time for that which is uncommon to become common.

The Know Show – let’s catch up on the world’s news
We are back after an extended break – which is always important for a healthy state of mind – but as we all know, the news never stops and it’s time get going again, with amazing guests lined up until December. Our goal for this first show of the season is to get caught up on the news over the Summer – and boy, it’s been a doozy hasn’t it?
Come and join us, where Joe, Tim and Andrea are going to get everyone caught up on the major news that’s been happening around the world, from wars (Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan) to elections (Germany, US, France...), and extreme weather events, millions suffering in drought, as well as frightening predictions about the future for human civilization. We’ll talk about some characters operating in our world who have dramatically shifted their politics… (Elon Musk spring to mind?), the rise of authoritarianism, and where we are as a global society right now.
There is a lot going on of course, and we work to look at the news from every angle, breaking it down into language we can all understand, while considering everything from both a short-term and long-term perspective. We believe it’s important to help our audience move away from instant reactions towards deeper reflections about what it all means and how it will impact us. As always, it’s all about seeing the nuance under the stories, because there is always nuance.
The Know Show is a Livestream held every fortnight on Friday, where Andrea T Edwards, Tim Wade and Joe Augustin, and at least one special guest, review the news that’s getting everyone’s attention, as well as perhaps what requires our attention. We’ll talk about what it means to us, the world and we hope to inspire great conversations on the news that matters in the world today.
